Today flew by. I woke up to the best thing in the world, Will running out and laughing in the living room. It's really the most pleasant way to wake up, even if it is early in the morning. After hanging out and playing with Will for awhile, I did some job searching/emailing.
From 11-12 Maggie, Jo, and I went to yoga. I definitely enjoyed it more than last time I went. I was again shocked by how difficult it was. I quickly worked up a sweat and was breathing heavy. Some of the almost "religious" aspects of yoga are odd to me, but it just made me think I'd like to read more about it so that I understand it more. Either way, I thought it was a great class. I'm absolutely awful at yoga but it's something I'd like to get better at. The instructor today said that it takes about 2 years.
Aleks, Maggie, Jo, and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Cafe Poca Cosa. It's essentially a gourmet Mexican restaurant. The menu changes day to day and everything is incredible. We all ordered the plata poca cosa where the chef randomly chooses 3 menu items for you. Talk about incredible food. We all shared around and every single plate was delicious. Honestly some of the best food I've ever eaten. They sometimes have flavor combinations that you wouldn't normally think of, but it's the kind of restaurant where you just have to trust them. For dessert (not that I have room for it) we all split a chocolate mousse. Without a doubt, the best mousse in the world. Wow. There was just a touch of cinnamon and coffee flavor. Ahhhhh.
After lunch I wasn't sure I could move, but I managed to. Soon it was time to pick up Will. You know what that means! The rest of the evening was spent playing with Will. He swam naked in the pool out back, played with all of his balls, built towers and knocked them down. The list could go on forever. He's just so interested in absolutely everything.
I had some interesting job leads today. I had 3 email responses from resumes that I sent out yesterday. I'm in the process of scheduling interviews for them. All three were just secretary type jobs, but some actually pay pretty well. I'll be fine with $14-$18 an hour. Heck yes. I'm honestly not concerned with what I'll be doing, especially while in Tucson. I know I'll be happy working where ever. It is what you make of it. I was just glad to have some bites, even if none of these end up working out. Tomorrow is another day of resume blasts. Wish me luck!
Alright, time to go eat some tiramisu and try to stir up a game of rummikub.
