early morning update

We're sitting here making some oatmeal in our site in Kansas. One thing I've learned is that it's not what that advertise that's important...it's what they don't. For example, this campground has 3 lakes (one for swimming, one for fishing, and one for looking at)! They fail to mention that with those lakes comes complimentary goose poop, ducks and geese walking around your tent all night, and brown water. Also, we are conveniently located just outside of Topeka! Right next to the airport runway. We literally had huge commercial planes landing right across the street from us all night. Oh well, it was actually more humorous than annoying. When you're tired enough you can sleep through just about anything. The truth of the matter is that the shower were hot and the bathrooms were clean. It was still a pretty funny night of sleeping though.

Now on to Colorado!
